	Children's Information for Internet safety Internet is fun and a great resource for finding out information for your homework but unfortunately, it is also full of dangers. Therefore it is wise to take precautions and listen to the advice from your parents. There may be bad people pretending as kids from another country to try to get your attention. They may try to make friends with you and find out information about you for some very bad intentions and reasons. The following are the Dos & Don'ts for kids to enjoy Safe Surfing on the net:
DOS
	Ask your parents for permission for surfing or joining a chat line. Ask your parents to install net filtering software. Ask your parents to install virus protection software Try to surf the net with the rest of your family. It is more fun and a lot safer anyway. Ask your parents for help at any time if you are in doubt. Ask your parents for permission before sending out any E-mail to someone you have met on the net. Ask you parents for permission if you want to download anything from the net.
DON'TS
	Tell anybody your real name on the chatline. Always use your nickname. Tell anybody where you live. Tell anybody which school you are attending. Make arrangement to meet anybody in real life. Download anything without asking your parents first. Give anybody any information about your family. Send your photos to your chat friends without asking your parents first.
